The Whale

Charlie (Brendan Fraser), a middle-aged man weighing 600 pounds (272 kg), is a writing instructor whose obesity is beginning to seriously endanger him.

Charlie makes an effort to get back in touch with his daughter Ellie, 17, who is played by Sadie Sink. The two were estranged when Charlie left his family in favour of his late gay boyfriend. As a final attempt at atonement, he wants to restart the relationship.
