Originally scheduled for December 2022 Super Mario Bros. movie release date was set for 7 April 2023. Since the release of the Super Mario Bros. movie trailer, it became one of the most anticipated ones. But since it’s on the floor let’s check out if it’s worth your time and money or if it is simply another animated movie.

The movie introduces us to familiar faces the Italian brothers Mario and Luigi. The other characters include Bowser: the evil Koopa King, and the beloved princess Peach of the Mushroom Land.

They both go underground but get struck by a Warp Pipe and separate. Mario enters Mushroom Land ruled by Princess Peach whereas Luigi reaches Dark Lands ruled by Browser.
The browser looks at Mario as his competitor for his possible pursuits over Princess Mario and therefore captures his brother and threatens him. Mario is all set to save his brother.
King Cranky Kong offers to assist Peach’s alliance with the Kongs against Bowser if Mario overcomes Donkey Kong his son. Mario emerges victorious and utilizes karts to return to the Mushroom Kingdom, but on Rainbow Road, Bowser’s army ambushes them.
Mario and Donkey Kong fall to the water during a kamikaze attack, but the other Kongs are captured. Peach accepts Bowser’s proposal as he arrives at his flying castle. Arriving with Donkey Kong, Mario uses a Tanooki suit to help Luigi before freeing the inmates. Bowser summons a Bomber Bill to obliterate the Mushroom Kingdom, but Mario diverts it through the Warp Pipe, where it forms a vacuum that sends everyone—including Bowser himself—to Brooklyn. Invincible Mario and Luigi vanquish the Koopas. Bowser gets jailed after being reduced in size by a mini mushroom.
