Nun 2 is the sequel to the 2018 horror movie. The Nun movie follows the story of a priest and a novitiate who is sent to investigate the mysterious death of a nun in Romania. As they delve deeper into the investigation, they uncover a dark secret that puts their lives in danger. The last movie hinted to us that we should expect more from the conjuring universe.
This upcoming Hollywood horror movie has a different setting, this time in France rather than Romania. Sister Irene travels to look into the killing of a priest four years after The Nun’s events, but she discovers Valak again to be the reason behind all the events.
The Story begins where we left Nun 2018 where the Duke of St. Cârța unlocked the door to Hell. At the beginning of The Nun, Sister Victoria kills herself in order to prevent being possessed by Valak, a demon disguised as a nun who is looking for a host. She meets Frenchie, a villager who serves as her guide when she arrives. Together, they learn that Valak, a demonic nun, is the embodiment of a malicious spirit that resides in the monastery.
Valak is stopped by Sister Irene by spitting the blood of Jesus into its face. But as in all of The Conjuring Universe’s other movies, we were prepared for a return.
The revelation at the end also exposes that Frenchie is none other than Maurice. At the beginning of The Conjuring, the Warrens(paranormal investigators) displayed a video of themselves attempting to exorcise Maurice. Then we didn’t know that this was probably Lorraine Warren’s first encounter with the demon.
Now Valak is back, and audiences can expect Nun 2 to delve more into the “depths of the demon. Moreover, with Michael Chaves return as the director, expect some more horror and suspense to spook you out.
