In search of greater wealth, Mother Lopez, a US soldier, became engaged to Hector Varez and ex-SAS Brit Adrian Lovell. She arranged a contract for the two guys to smuggle guns, but when she fell pregnant and learned the men were involved in child trafficking, everything changed. She asked to be an informant for the FBI in exchange for security. Later in the movie, when her teenage daughter is taken hostage by criminals, Jennifer Lopez plays an assassin who is summoned back to duty.
