Guy Ritchie's The Covenant

Guy Ritchie’s The Covenant is a war thriller set in Afghanistan. The movie narrates the story of US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Jake Gyllenhaal) and Afghan interpreter Ahmed (Dar Salim).Ahmed agrees to be an interpreter on the pretext of securing safe passage for his family to America after the war. Ahmed showcases extraordinary bravery to save Kinley during an ambush. However, upon discovering that Ahmed’s promise has not been fulfilled, Kinley feels obliged to help him. He travels back to the war zone to retrieve Ahmed and his family before the Taliban do so. The movie displays the true predicament of a soldier’s friendship with his comrade.
