Fukrey 3 was written by Vipul Vig and directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani produced the film through their Excel Entertainment company. Ten years have passed since the first installment and six years have passed since Fukrey Returns.
The initial release date for Fukrey 3—on September 7—was scheduled to conflict with Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Then it was moved to December 1; however, because Salaar was delayed, it was moved to September 28.
