Mother May I?

Emmett hopes to ignore the trauma of his mother’s abandonment by cleaning and flipping her house. Anya, his fiancée, tries to coerce him into dealing with his trauma by persuading him to eat mushrooms. Anya’s behavior, on the other hand, mirrors that of his mother, and he wakes up sober. The circumstances cast doubt on Anya’s intentions as well as her connection to Emmett’s mother’s spirit.
